In the past years Computational Intelligence has become one of the main research topics at the Széchenyi István University. The first six Győr Symposia on Computational Intelligence were successfully organized from 2008 to 2014. The seventh Győr Symposium on Computational Intelligence was jointly held with the fourth International Workshop on Mathematics and Soft Computing and it was called the 7th European Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Mathematics (ESCIM 2015).

Due to the COVID19 pandemic, the 12th European Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Mathematics has been organized in two parts. In October 6th-7th a first part was organized composed of the oral presentation of different accepted papers submitted to ESCIM2020 and a workshop associated with DigForASP (digforasp.uca.es), which is an Action COST (CA17124) focused on the development and application of artificial intelligence and automatic reasoning tools to Digital Forensic. The second part was planned to be held in February in person. However, due to the pandemic, it finally is organized online. The program can be downloaded from this link. Next edition is already planned and we hope it will be organized in person in Budapest, from October 6th to 9th, 2021 (escim2021.uca.es).

History of ESCIM

The European Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Mathematics (ESCIM) has been organized every years since 2015, aimed at bringing together scientists working on Computational Intelligence, mathematics and related areas.
